Selection Criteria

SCARTWATER AND CUNNINGHAM SCHOLARSHIPS

The following criteria must be met in order to qualify for both the  Scartwater Scholarship and Cunningham Scholarship.

1. For a Child or Grandchild of a returned service person to be eligible for a Scartwater or Cunningham Scholarship, the relevant Australian Defence Person must have been

   . In Operational Service in a forum recognised by the Australian Government as a War Zone

   or Warlike area OR

   . Awarded the Australian Active Service Medal or it’s equivalent replacement OR

   . Awarded the Australian Service Medal or it’s equivalent OR

   . Been in continuous General Service in the ADF for not less than 10 consecutive years AND

   . Permanently resided in the Scartwater Area for not less than 10 years following discharge

   the ADF.
